Celebrating Africa Day And Heritage Month- May 2026

Making the African diaspora visible

In May 2026, Northern California will host Africa Day celebrations including Raise the Flag in San Jose,  with events in Sacramento, Los Gatos, and San Jose. Organized by Afriicionado, the gatherings spotlight the African diaspora and connect families, artists, and communities. Mbai Bassa Community will actively support these important events.

Your Generosity at work

We are pleased to announce the completion of the Ndom Bilingual Middle School Library building renovation project. This concludes Phase 1 of the Ndom Bilingual Middle School multi-media library pilot program. The goal of the program is to equip the school and surrounding communities with a state of the art library with internet access and the possibility to establish partnerships with schools in the USA. Next phases include:
  • Purchase and donation of books and the recruitment of a team of volunteers to manage the library.
  • Purchase of computers, software and internet access equipments.
  • Installation of solar panels to insure a reliable provision of electrical power to the library.
  • Parnerships with USA schools.

Thanks for your generosity and your continued support!
