BABAMNA And Mbai Bassa Community Seal A Partnership To Foster Impactful Leadership In Service Of The Community

New York (United States), August 10, 2026

It is with a deep sense of pride and responsibility that BABAMNA announces the signing of a major, structured partnership with Mbai Bassa Community (MBC). This alliance marks a decisive turning point in our shared vision of concrete, sustainable community engagement focused firmly on action with real impact.

Origins and Evolution of the Award

Established to honor leadership excellence and exceptional dedication to community service, the BABAMNA award was presented for the first time, posthumously, at the 2024 Atlanta Congress to the late Jérôme Minlend, former General President of the Mbog Liaa Association. His vision and leadership continuously inspire BABAMNA.

A New Momentum: From Recognition to Action

To align this award with our strategic goals for the measurable transformation of our communities, several major developments come into effect starting this year:

  • A New Flagship Identity: The award will now bear the name BABAMNA Mpodol Award (BMA). This new name highlights the values of integrity, exemplary behavior, and leadership demonstrated by individuals or organizations within our community.

  • Direct Financial Support for Community Projects: MBC becomes the official sponsor of the BMA. For each selected winner, MBC will directly fund an eligible community project chosen by the recipient up to 2,000 USD.

  • A Long-Term Commitment: This agreement has an initial duration of 6 years (spanning the next three major congresses), representing a minimum financial commitment of 6,000 USD, with the option to renew.

Taking Action, Together Through this strategic partnership, BABAMNA and MBC demonstrate that it is possible to transform collective ambitions into tangible achievements for our communities.

“We extend our most sincere thanks to the Mbai Bassa Community and its Board of Directors for this fraternal, visionary, and structured commitment. We hope this initiative will inspire other organizations and community actors to join this momentum of transformation. Together, let’s move from words to action!”
