Who We Are

SOBATAM is a solidarity network that helps cover the
financial costs associated to the death of members and carry out members’ last wishes. All people of Cameroonian descent and their direct relatives (spouse, children, stepchildren, mother, father) with their primary residence in the USA or Canada can join.

Why Join

Inclusive & family friendly

• You can join as an association, family or individual
• Child (<18 year) option: Only pay 25% of standard contribution per death.
• Young adult (<= 30 year) option: Only pay 50% of standard member contribution per death

Meaningful and sustainable

• Up to $15000 Network Solidarity Contribution (NSD) per death.
• Cost effective. Average $8/month
• Seniority based benefits. The longer your membership, the higher the NSD.
• Opportunity to serve a greater purpose by dedicating a percentage of the NSD to your preferred causes.

Credible & Secured

• You are represented by
  delegates who elect and
  dismiss the Executive Bureau,
  vote for the budget, bylaws
  and Internal rules
• All financial documents are shared with delegates
• Stricter vetting

• Send an email to registration@sobatam-na.org with your contact information to start the process.

Registration costs

• $50 for a group
• $15 for an individual or per member for SOBATAM Pool for families
• $10 to add a new member to an existing group.
